Portledge in the Now.

Upcoming 10th & 11th Grade Testing

Please be sure to check out this article on the PSAT/NMSQT and PreACT which will be taking place in the next couple of months.
PSAT - NMSQT
Portledge is administering the PSAT/NMSQT to our 10th and 11th grade students who have registered for the exam on Wednesday, October 9th. The PSAT is 2 hours and 45 minutes long and contains two sections: Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and Math. The exam is completely digital. All students are expected to arrive at the exam with their own charged laptop and it is recommended they bring a charger as well. Preparing for this exam will require an account to be set up with the College Board. After registering for the exam, and completing the College Board sign-up the BlueBook application from the College Board must be downloaded. Before administration, Ms. Heins and the Deans will meet with students to ensure this is done. If you come unprepared for the exam the school will not provide devices.

Please check the following links below from the College Board to understand more about, and better prepare for the PSAT/ NMSQT:

PreACT
Portledge is administering the PreACT on Saturday, November 16th to our 10th and 11th grade students. If you wish to register your child for the exam, you must do so by Wednesday, September 25th. The PreACT is a slightly shorter, 2.5-hour, slightly easier exam designed to help students prepare for the official ACT exam by simulating the test and testing experience. The PreACT is a paper-and-pencil test comprised of multiple-choice sections for English, Math, Reading, and Science. Please check the following links for more information and how to prepare for the PreACT.
