Portledge in the Now.

Diwali

On Friday, November 1, in honor of the Hindu holiday, Diwali, otherwise known as the Festival of Lights, students were given the day off from classes to honor this day.
We recognize this festive period of time for our families who celebrate Diwali each year through traditional dress, meals, and worship, and we encourage our larger school community to learn more about the customs and rituals associated with the symbolic celebration of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.
