Portledge in the Now.

Life or Death Reading

Ava Faltischek, Holly Simon
Starting in 10th grade, Holly Simon began to write a script that focused on issues that American high schoolers are confronted with, hoping to drive teenagers and adults to confront them through an honest portrayal of them. With the decision of what to do for a senior project, for Holly, it was a no-brainer. Ava Faltischek helped to produce the reading and brought the writing to life, by using her knowledge and experience in theatre to make the portrayal accurate and effective. What resulted was a beautiful partnership and a project that left an impact on all who attended, and those that took part in it. Congratulations to both Holly and Ava, on your creation on your very successful creation and read-through of your original play, Life or Death!
