NYSSMA Festival Registration now open.

We are excited to open our online registration system for the upcoming NYSSMA festivals. The NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) Festivals offer all student musicians the opportunity to perform a prepared piece before a judge and receive a written evaluation and grade. The music festivals are optional and are open to any Portledge student for purposes of self-evaluation or consideration for All-County, LISFA, and All-State ensembles. If your child is interested in playing their instrument or singing before a NYSSMA judge, then read more for important information.
If you are interested in participating in the same festival more than once (a solo and a duet for example), or on multiple instruments (voice and percussion for example), you must fill out a form for each evaluation.

FESTIVAL DATES
Piano Festival: March 18-20
General Festival: April 8-9
All-State Festival: April 25-26
Classical Guitar Festival: April 29-30
Harp Festival: May 2-3 
 
The music department will gladly address questions about the process, however, the NYSSMA link below will have the most updated information that can answer specific questions that you may have.
